Math Tutoring on Zoom
I offer individual math tutoring on Zoom for children in grades 1 through 8 who need extra instruction and inspiration during the pandemic.
The goal of all my work with children is to instill a love of math and learning, to build a strong foundation, and to encourage deep understanding.
This tutoring will be tailored to your child’s specific needs. I can focus on helping your child master particular grade-level concepts, or on math enrichment, or on both. I can also help identify gaps in your child’s mathematical foundation and work on these areas.
While working with your child, I use my computer so your child can see my face and interact with me, and my iPad as an interactive blackboard to make concepts more clear. I also have a wide variety of math manipulatives which I can use to demonstrate concepts.
I can assign extra work between sessions if you would like this.
I have designed extensive math curricula for children over the last forty years and can make use of this as needed (to make particular concepts more clear and for enrichment).
I have been an ambassador for Khan Academy, and have used Khan Academy with children since 2011. I can incorporate Khan Academy into my work with your child to help with concept mastery as needed.
Tutoring rate: $85 for 60 minute session
