Four creatures each had a favourite Cuisenaire rod. (These are coloured wooden rods used for learning math.)

The creatures were: a swan, a zebra, a duck and a dog.

The favourite rods were the 3-rod, the 5-rod, the 9-rod and, the 10-rod.

What was each creature’s favourite rod?

Clues:

1. The creature who liked the orange 10-rod best had feet that were the same colour as the rod.
2. The dog was a Dalmatian.
3. Two of the swan’s favourite rod fit perfectly along the duck’s favourite rod.
4. Three of the spotted creature’s favourite rod fit perfectly along the striped creature’s favourite rod.
